Program Description

The Certificate II in Business will prepare you for the workplace. The program has 12 units covering a variety of fundamental business topics. You will learn practical skills and knowledge that can be used in entry-level business administration roles. This includes practical organisational tasks, communication, customer service, teamwork skills and more. The course will also provide basic skills in key word processing and spreadsheet software used in most businesses.

SCHEDULES*
14 hours of study per week will take place face-to-face in the classroom. Schedules combine the core lecture with foundation skills, and PASS classes.

6 hours per week of coursework will be completed online. The online study component includes exercises, discussion forums, and resources to help with assignments and to provide foundational academic and learning skills. Online study is available 24/7 for students to complete any time, and can be used to reach instructors outside of class.

Optional Internship Placement

Add a volunteer internship to your program to apply your learning and gain hands on skills. Internships are arranged concurrent with studies and run between 7–20 hours per week for a minimum of 8 weeks.* Duties may vary and a business dress code will be required. The internship coordinator will visit students regularly at the work place to assess progress and to offer support. Students will use their placement to analyse and write about topics studied during their course work.
